1946 The Second World War ends. Japan surrendered, General MacArthur's Expeditionary Force landed in Yokohama. During total disarmament, the country's population was ordered to hand over all firearms and bladed weapons. The family of the Emperor of Japan is forced to hand over to the occupying authorities a unique collection of ancient swords that personify the fighting spirit of Japan. Fearing the outrage of the people, the Americans decide to quickly and secretly remove this unique collection from the country. The Grumman amphibious aircraft must deliver the rarities to the cruiser Kansas, patrolling the sea in the Kuril Islands area. However, on the way, the Grumman pilot is forced to avoid a snow storm and makes an emergency landing off the eastern coast of Sakhalin Island. The pilots hide a secret cargo under a rock and head for a Russian airfield in the hope that Russian allies in the fight against Hitler will help them contact American authorities. However, the pilots are captured by a remnant group of Japanese soldiers wandering deep in the rear of the Soviet army after its rapid march from the north to south. It seems that the unique collection of the Japanese Emperor is irretrievably lost... But not everyone is sure about this. A collector of bladed weapons from Switzerland begins to look for missing rare swords. Unable to work openly in Russia, he hires a “black archaeologist” Aldoshin, who has extensive experience in searching for Japanese rarities. Archival research and the search for witnesses allow him to reconstruct the events of 65 years ago, find the remains of the “Grumman” and the burial place of the “treasure of the Japanese Emperor.” A priceless treasure has been discovered, but now it is necessary to secretly remove it from Russia. The customer is developing a multi-step operation to remove the priceless collection of the Imperial House of Japan from the country. However, a Japanese historian and writer with Russian roots, Andrei Berg, intervenes in the carefully planned operation...
