This book, written in the historical and journalistic genre, based on unknown historical documents and personal interviews of the author with various political figures involved in the Karabakh conflict, reflects an objective analysis of the bloody events since the beginning of this conflict. In particular, the book reflects the irresponsible and criminal policy of the Soviet leadership, which laid the foundation for Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan. It should be noted that prof. Since the late 80s of the last century, Yu. Pompeyev, with his publications and speeches, has been waging a fair fight to bring the truths about the Karabakh conflict to the attention of the Russian community. The book “Bloody Whirlpool of Karabakh” is the first part of the trilogy “Khojaly, bloody events” and “Veval Days” . This book analyzes the activities of the behind-the-scenes forces in the Soviet establishment that gave impetus to the conflict, in particular, it highlights Gorbachev's connections with the Armenian lobby, which advocated the annexation of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the path that led to the Khojaly massacre of 1992.
