The last dragon has been set free by Kendra. With that release, Damon's small powers are reduced, and Kendra now begins to take control of the dragon. However, their plans are disrupted when they find themselves the innocent combatants in a war with the mages. They do not know the rules of magic, nor how to properly use it. Those around them fare no better. Princess Elizabeth rides to bring help, but events progress so fast that she may arrive too late.
