The reader is invited to a short work by the ancient Christian teacher Clement of Alexandria (150–215) “Which of the rich will be saved?” It is devoted to the interpretation of the Gospel fragment of Matthew. 19:16–30, but at the same time touches on a number of topics important for the Christian life. In this work, the author gives an original and deep understanding of wealth and poverty. It is not property and gold itself that is destructive, but the addiction of the owners to them. For those who manage wealth correctly, it can even become life-saving under certain conditions. The book is very relevant in the modern era of economic upheaval and can become a kind of guide for the correct spiritual attitude to what is happening.
