Nantes is not the best city to live. The "Dark Damned Ages", a series of atomic wars and epidemics, plunged the world into a new Middle Ages, in which knights flaunt motorized exo-armor and combat implants, counts and barons use surviving neuro-technologies and nano-poisons, the Holy See declared itself the supreme protector of everything existence from heretical knowledge, and the emperor has been waging endless wars in the north, south, west and east for decades. The mob has no rights and can barely make ends meet.
And, as if this were not enough, there are rumors that a dark cult that died out many centuries ago has been revived in Nantes... Young Alberca is confident that she will be able to figure it out with this sinister cult. She is quite purposeful, persistent and self-confident. But there are three reasons that could seriously hinder her. Firstly, she has too much imagination. Secondly, she drinks too much wine. And thirdly, she is completely paralyzed.
