My confessor told me more than once: “Vyacheslav, if you can not write, don’t write!” But I couldn’t help but write. And I didn’t always listen to my confessor. And therefore, over the years of my church life, I have accumulated a whole book of poems on Orthodox themes. These are the immediate responses of my church-going and, later, church-going soul to what is happening in the depths of my heart. Even if this is a landscape, even if it seems that I am describing some external events - first of all, this is about the inner deep content. Reflections on life and death. Many penitential poems. Prayers. Epitaphs. Delight. And right there next to you is internal torment and despair. Countless questions to God, your interlocutor and yourself. I was lucky that the world turned out to be arranged in such a way that not a single question remains unanswered. This encourages me. Let this inspire you too! The penitential theme, running like a red thread through the collection, gradually lost its heaviness, grew wings and freed me from myself...
