The anthology is a supplement to the textbook “Aesthetics and Theory of Art of the 20th Century.” The structure of the reader consists of three sections. The first is composed of texts that are representative of the traditional direction in aesthetic and theoretical thought - the philosophy of art. The second section presents theoretical concepts of art that arose within the boundaries of disciplines adjacent to aesthetics and art history. For the third section, works on the theory of art are selected, allowing us to imagine how it developed not only within the boundaries of philosophy and explicit aesthetics, but also within the boundaries of art history. The anthology, like the textbook under the same name, is intended for students of various specialties in the humanities.< /p>
