“If you want to be a fascist, you’ll get hit with cabbage soup. Giving pussy is often a struggle. It works.”
An anthology of texts devoted to the theory and practice of anarchists in opposition to fascism, compiled by Anna Key and published by the Kate Sharpley Library in England in 2006. Anarchists have never shied away from the struggle against fascism. This book describes the physical and ideological battles in which anarchists fought against fascism and its authoritarian vision. It begins with the struggle of the People's Braves against Mussolini's Blackshirts, German anarcho-syndicalists against Hitler and the Spanish Revolution of 1936. The history of anarchist anti-fascism in the struggle against the National Front in Britain in the seventies and the actions of the groups No Platform, Anti-Fascist Action and Anti-Racist Action at the end of the century are also revealed. Documents from Russia and Australia and interviews with contemporary activists from Britain and North America complement the comprehensive overview of the ideas and practices of anarchist anti-fascism. A description of the main milestones in the history of clashes between anarchists and fascists is not the main thing in this book. She criticizes fascist ideological constructs and tactics - such as terror and racism - from an anarchist perspective, and also analyzes the differences in methods between anarchists and other anti-fascists - liberals and authoritarian socialists.
