So the hairdresser Guillaume is moping, realizing that the most important thing in his life is missing - great love. The melancholy intensifies when one fine day he discovers that some of his fellow villagers cheated on him with a barber from a neighboring village, and the other part committed a completely serious crime - they went bald. However, the French are enterprising people, and Guillaume opens a new business - a marriage agency. From now on he is a matchmaker. This is where the real end of the world begins in the village, as all the ardent feelings hitherto carefully hidden by the villagers spill out. “The Matchmaker from Périgord” is a charming, sun-sparkling comedy about the thorny roads of love, about the fact that even in the neighborhood you can discover a true treasure, and it doesn’t matter that it’s bald. The novel involuntarily brings to mind the famous film “Chocolate”; it is just as charming and elegant.
