In many areas of human activity, be it sales, management, job search, negotiations, joining a team or matters of the heart, the secret to success is based on communication with other people. It all starts with the first impression. It takes people 90 seconds or less to compose it. That is, we have these 90 seconds to win people over. And we need to do this correctly - after all, if we manage to please those in whom we are interested, then things with them will certainly go better faster and better. This book was written by the famous Canadian communication expert Nicholas Butman. For more than 25 years he worked as a photographer in the fashion world and was constantly faced with the fact that people: a) do not know how to liberate themselves; b) are shy or do not know how to communicate in order to make a favorable impression on others; c) do not know how to reveal their potential for their own benefit. Since Nicholas had never had such problems, he decided to help people communicate and make an impression. The technique he uses is based on his vast experience, on cognitive psychology and even to some extent on NLP. Whether you like it or not, it only takes a couple of seconds for people to form their opinion about you - in a personal meeting and even in phone conversation time. If they like you, a person will unconsciously notice only the good in you and, as a result, agree with you and strive to help. If you make an unfavorable impression, everything will be exactly the opposite. The book contains not only theory and cases, there is also a practical part with small exercises and assignments. By doing them, you can understand yourself, understand what problems in communication exist, what clamps are interfering and how best to remove them. One thing became very clear to me: getting people to like you in 90 seconds or less is a skill that can be easily and simply taught to anyone. People kept saying, “Nick, this is a miracle. Why haven’t you written a book about this yet?” I decided to listen to them, and here is my book in front of you.
Features In the appendix to the book, which is called “Small steps to a big goal,” there is a workbook with questions and assignments. This is the author's technique of Nicholas Butman, which helps to analyze your communication skills and develop self-confidence and communication abilities.
