C. G. Jung's book Aion, written in 1951, marked the beginning of a new discipline, which can be called the psycho-history of archetypes. This method studies the dynamics of the manifestation of the collective unconscious as it manifests itself through political and cultural history. In the presented work an attempt was made to apply this method to some events that took place at the beginning of the Christian Aeon. Two thousand years ago the collective psyche underwent a thorough renewal, amazing parallels to which are observed at the present time. This ancient renewal was tantamount to the death and rebirth of the functioning image of God. There is evidence that the same phenomenon is happening in modern times. The historical drama of the times of early Christianity was played out more as a confrontation between two main opponents, Rome and Judea. Translator: Asgeth
