Ozon reports that: The first book within the framework of the large-scale cultural project "Alexander Deineka. Research, books, exhibitions. 2008-2011", dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the artist's birth, represents the main body of magazine, poster, book, easel graphics by the master, artistic diaries of travel in the USSR, America and Europe, military and post-war sketches. This publication uses the funds of the Kursk State Art Gallery named after A.A. Deineka, whose employees carried out serious attribution work in the process of preparing the book. The book also includes works from the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin, the State Literary Museum, the Russian State Library, the Bashkir State Art Museum named after M.V. Nesterov ( Ufa), State Museum of Art of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Abylkhan Kasteev (Almaty), materials from the archive of the artist’s widow Elena Pavlovna Volkova-Deineka and works from private collections. The book is the first and most extensive review of Alexander Deineka’s graphic work to date, undertaken over the past twenty years. The text part of the book is a series of statements on topics that are significant for the art of Alexander Deineka in general and specific to his graphics.
