He called “Fright”, critic Mark Amusin. Critic Viktor Toporov saw a generalized image of an aged sixties in the “tenacious old man” - and in turn predicted him the vitality of a modern literary hero. In the large, voluminous chapter “The White House without Politics” the reader will find something unique, in colors and in detail, the depiction of the historical shelling of the White House in 1993, alas, was never continued, not picked up anywhere else in modern stories and novels.
