The Arab-Israeli conflict, which has dragged on for two-thirds of a century and constantly provokes open armed clashes, still remains largely an unknown war. In Soviet times, reliable information about the course of hostilities was virtually unavailable - the official press preferred to remain silent about the reasons for our defeats Arab allies, limiting themselves to ritual curses against the “Israeli military.” After the collapse of the USSR, several informative books were published on the history of the Arab-Israeli wars - but all this was a view exclusively from the Israeli side. This book represents the Arab point of view for the FIRST TIME. This unique study, previously kept under the heading of DSP, was compiled according to the testimony of Arab generals and officers who were trained in Soviet military academies. As part of the educational process, they were required to describe in detail their combat experience, evaluate the actions of the enemy and the reasons for their own defeats. At the same time, as they say, “you can’t erase words from a song” - the book was published without cuts and censorship: the harshness of statements and extremely harsh anti-Israeli rhetoric did not only help to feel the “spirit of the era,” but also give an idea of the fierceness of the confrontation in the Middle East, which began immediately after World War II and continues to this day.
