According to what is written about him, Napoleon is second only to Jesus Christ. And this is not surprising: the lives of great people have always attracted the attention of writers, artists and scientists. It's strange. In this vast sea of literature there is not a single novel about his youth. It's a pity! After all, the true purpose of any biography is to show the soul of the hero, and the story of the transformation of a romantically inclined young man into a man capable, in his own words, of any meanness, much more interesting than any battles and love affairs. Of course, not everything is so simple in this transformation, and it is no coincidence that the great expert on Napoleon Goethe compared his life with the Apocalypse, which was never truly understood. The desire to somehow lift the veil of secrecy over the life of this amazing man prompted me to write this books. Of course, a novel is a novel, there is a lot of the author’s work in it, and yet I tried not to miss a single significant event in the life of young Bonaparte.
