Lidiya Yakovlevna Ginzburg (1902–1990) is an outstanding Russian writer and famous literary critic, whose works are studied in universities. They are of great interest to all connoisseurs of the history of Russian literature and poetry. The work “Notes of a Siege Man” is one of the valuable evidence of the border experience of a person who found himself in a besieged city. And this person is a woman in her everyday reality. In the text, the author constantly addresses the opposition of female and male views on what is happening. The second part of the book is occupied by “Prose of the War Years,” which includes works written in 1942–1945. They belong to the kind of literature that Ginzburg later called “intermediate literature”, since it simultaneously combines both documentary and artistic principles. The publishing design is preserved in PDF A4 format.
