Who is this written for: Any book, brochure, or magazine article is written for specific readers. For those who want to hear this word, who are themselves ripe for its perception. No one can be convinced by words alone. A word can only help a person decide what he himself feels. A word can help one clearly formulate what is already vaguely understood by oneself. Any writing person can answer questions that his reader has already asked himself and to which he cannot find an answer without outside help. But even the most brilliant writer or publicist cannot encourage the reader to ask himself these questions. The biblical “do not throw pearls before swine” is a rough formulation of this rule.
