The collection includes articles, essays and translations made by N. L. Trauberg specifically for the magazine “Pages: Theology, Culture, Education”, published by the Biblical-Theological Institute of St. Apostle Andrew. Natalya Leonidovna stood at the origins of this magazine and at the founding of the institute, gave lectures there, and worked on the publication of books. She devoted her entire life to translation, although she called her profession “copyist,” because she believed that books should be translated taking into account the Russian mentality and the peculiarities of the Russian language, while at the same time she knew how to preserve the beauty of the original. She had no equal in the art of translation. But her original works are no less interesting than the translations. They are small, but capacious, metaphorical, sometimes paradoxical, forcing the reader to take a fresh look at familiar things and see the true meaning of phenomena. Some of the works included in the collection were not published anywhere other than “Pages.”
