The events described in this book took place during that strange week that May, a resident of a small Irish town, will never forget. A series of accidents leads to the fact that she must clean up the garden belonging to a man whom she has never met, but, having examined the tools on his property, was convinced that he is a talented wood carver. At the same time, she finds herself foolishly and recklessly falling in love with the local postman, whose name she doesn’t even know, and incidents begin to occur in the city that would be suitable for filming a detective series.

Книга "Найкращий тиждень Мей" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор майстерно передає атмосферу маленького ірландського містечка, де кожен куточок наповнений життям і таємницями. Мей, головна героїня, є дуже близькою та зрозумілою, адже її боротьба з соціальною тривогою та спроби знайти своє місце у світі викликають співчуття і розуміння. Її стосунки з садовими рослинами символізують її бажання контролювати своє життя, тоді як взаємодія з новими людьми стає справжнім викликом. Особливо сподобалася сюжетна лінія з таємничим різьбярем і листоношею, що додає романтичного та детективного елементів до історії. Книга наповнена гумором, теплом і щирістю, тому я б рекомендувала її всім, хто шукає натхнення та позитивні емоції у літературі!
