The figure of Fyodor Raskolnikov in the history of the Russian revolution is far from accidental - from school he fought against the tsarist regime and then, together with Lenin, Trotsky, Molotov and other famous revolutionaries, fought to establish Soviet power. He was secretary of the newspaper "Pravda", deputy chairman of the Kronstadt Council, deputy people's commissar for maritime affairs, commander of the Caspian and Baltic flotillas, member of the Revolutionary Military Council, editor of the magazines "Young Guard", "Krasnaya Nov" and the publishing house "Moskovsky Rabochiy", USSR plenipotentiary envoy to Afghanistan, Estonia , Denmark and Bulgaria, journalist and writer. He was married to the famous revolutionary and poetess Larisa Reisner, the former mistress of Gumilyov and Trotsky; met with Yesenin, Bunin, Severyanin and Pilnyak, feuded with Bulgakov. And in 1939 he was declared an “enemy of the people” and sentenced to death in absentia. In the foreign press, he published an “Open Letter to Stalin,” which exposed Joseph Vissarionovich as a bloody dictator. In the same year, Raskolnikov died under mysterious circumstances in Nice, where he was apparently thrown out of a window by Beria's agents...
