The current approach to regulating traffic flows in high-density traffic cannot solve the problem of congestion and traffic jams in large cities around the world. Identification of the shortcomings of this approach made it possible, based on the well-known method of regulating traffic flows, ramp metering, to develop new road structures, as well as a new technique that makes it possible to practically eliminate the formation of congestion and traffic jams on highways and increase the throughput of highways by 1.5 times or more.
