Last 2017, the first international congress dedicated to banning the attempt to robotize war was held in Geneva, almost unnoticed by the press. Robots, like a time machine, were “created” by science fiction writers in their books. They were the first to proclaim the principles of constructing “intelligent” machines. One of them was the principle “thou shalt not kill.” A robot cannot and should not become a killer. But humanity itself is digging a hole for itself, demonstrating more and more “reasonable means of destruction.” Moreover, with a “humanistic slant”: “We cannot allow our boys or girls to expose themselves to danger! Let them sit far from the place of hostilities, beyond the enemy’s means of destruction, and deliver inevitable blows to the enemy.” The main “warrior” is gradually becoming a bespectacled man at the computer, with the brain and development level of a 10-year-old child. A flood of computer “shooter” toys has swept the world. This is how the soldier of the future is born. The one who presses the button faster wins. And if anything happens, it will reboot and start again, go back in the time machine and press the buttons again from the saved location. They “forgot” to tell them that the computer is billions of times faster, it is being slowed down to give the future application to it a taste of victory. “I've moved to a new level! Now I’ll rest, warm up, eat a burger and continue killing.” This book was written a long time ago, it began in the blazing south of our country, in August 1914. It smells of burnt gunpowder, thaw, as well as the sweat and blood of war, and the beauty of our northern taiga. About finding a way out of the dead end into which we have driven ourselves.
