55 years ago, at the end of October 1962, events occurred that were first called the “Cuban Crisis” and then the “Cuban Crisis.” According to the current “official”, almost generally accepted American version, “the reckless and dangerous actions of the communist USSR almost led to a nuclear war between the USSR and the USA,” while in reality a nuclear war was prevented in Europe and the famous “Drop shot” plan was broken. Based on incomplete and unreliable intelligence, the CIA and the Pentagon believed that the USSR did not have the ability to repel an attack by NATO and the United States, so it was forced to concede in resolving the “Berlin Crisis”. In the winter of 1959, immediately after the rebels occupied Havana, the CIA developed and began to carry out “Operation Mongoose”, as a result of which the “Castro regime” was supposed to collapse under the blows of its former allies from the “Second Front”. USSR intelligence, in turn, developed a different plan designed to change the situation in Europe, and sought to attract Cuba due to its strategically convenient location. In order to implement this plan, a small group of KGB officers was sent from the Soviet Union and Argentina.
