So I decided to introduce readers a little to what life would have been like for a “victim” in Tsarist Russia, 1911. Then the first “pilot school” was formed in Russia: the Gatchina Higher Officer School of Aeronautics, which graduated from its “bowels” most of the outstanding aviation pilots of Imperial Russia and the Red Army Air Force.
