The book tells about the life path of one of the most famous princes of Ancient Rus' - Vladimir Vsevolodovich Monomakh (1053–1125). Monomakh is the only ancient Russian ruler who left his autobiography, which is part of the famous “Instruction” created by the prince for his children, which was preserved in the Laurentian Chronicle. Nevertheless, the personality of Monomakh to this day is shrouded in a veil of legends, the most famous of which is the legend of the “Monomakh cap” and other “Monomakh gifts”, which he allegedly received from the Byzantine emperor. Readers can learn about this legend and many other historical myths that have formed around his name from the book by candidate of historical sciences, Russian specialist D. A. Borovkov. The publishing design is preserved in PDF A4 format.
