Octav Panku-Jasi was born on April 14, 1929 in Iasi. He also studied at the Lyceum there and completed his lyceum education in Bucharest. He worked in radio broadcasting and cinematography, then in the magazine “Kutezetorii” (“Brave”). He published a number of collections of humorous stories and sketches for children, including: “Dad Has Two Sons” (1956), “Stories in Short Pants” (1958), “Letters to My Sons” (1960). “Fat-Frumos, when he was little” (1963), “Don’t go, my day is beautiful” (1970), etc., as well as the novels “The Great Battle of the Small Lake” (1953) and “The Book with Blue Eyes” "(1959). Died in 1975. Translation from Romanian by Elena Pokramovich, Faina Tatarskaya, Tatyana Vorontsova, Mikhail Olsufiev.
