The textbook examines the essence of balance science as a science, its principles and basic postulates. The theoretical foundations of constructing static and dynamic balances as accounting methods are studied. The procedure for drawing up initial and periodic balances is considered. Approaches to the formation of the following derivative balance sheets are studied: consolidation, separation, liquidation, using practical examples of their construction. A methodology for preparing consolidated statements under IFRS is given, taking into account the requirements of the IFRS-3 “Business Combinations” standard. The features of “creative” accounting as a method of regulating balance sheet indicators in accordance with the goals of balance sheet policy are given. Various methods for assessing assets and liabilities of the balance sheet used in Russia and international practice are examined. The material is based on the current regulatory framework.
