William Zero, also known as Dr. Blood-and-Bones, was one of the most ruthless butchers in US history, a serial killer who skinned and dismembered his victims. He killed twelve people and disappeared without a trace. His crazy son Eddie goes looking for him. He is convinced that his father has hidden in another reality and to get to him, he needs to recreate all his crimes and open the gates to hell. While Eddie is hunting for his father, he himself is being hunted. He's on the trail of Dr. Lisa Lockmer, a psychiatrist plagued by sexual obsessions she doesn't even try to explain. When she was still a teenager, she had an affair with a much older man who abused her. Many years later, she learned that her lover was none other than William Zero himself. Since then she has been sexually attracted to him. This attraction only intensified when Eddie was admitted to a psychiatric hospital under her care, soon to escape from supervision. She traced Eddie's path to San Francisco, the city in which his father committed his atrocities. She convinces herself that his capture will only benefit him, that she will write a book about him, but the true reasons lie much deeper. She is assisted by Detective James Fenn from the Homicide Squad. He wants to help her, but, in fact, he is madly in love with her, with a woman who does not know love, she is driven only by obsession. While Eddie kills and Fenn falls more and more in love with Lisa, she finds the house where Zero killed his victims, believing that Eddie is operating here. But she finds something worse than Eddie in the house. Nothing and no one are what they seem in a house of leather.
