Critics have repeatedly noted that Ayn Rand allows the viewer to guess the course of events, but every time, having guessed, the person realizes that he was mistaken. In her works, thought and action are closely fused. These are not cookie-cutter detective stories. The earliest piece, “The Night of January 16th,” has gone through many productions in America. Standing apart is the work “Think Twice”, which was written five years after “The Ideal”; this is the work of a mature writer, in which all the features of her style can be traced.
