The book contains the main early works of the famous political scientist Sergei Kurginyan. Written during the period of perestroika (from 1988 to 1993), they still retain the highest political relevance today. The above articles examine in detail the Vilnius events, the events that took place in Nagorno-Karabakh and Baku, the so-called “financial war” that immediately preceded the collapse of the USSR, the civil the war in Tajikistan, the October events of 1993, as well as the action programs put forward by the “Experimental Creative Center” for wide discussion in the early 90s. The analysis method developed by Sergei Kurginyan, coupled with the ability to obtain information directly at the scene of events, made it possible to make forecasts, significance which can only be truly assessed now, when the forecasts have already come true, many facts have gone from provocative and sensational to “well-known”, and history... History threatens to repeat itself again in the form of “perestroika-2”. The analysis presented to the reader allows us to get a holistic picture of the events the late 80s - early 90s, which broke the entire matrix of the Soviet state. Compiled by I.S. Kurginyan, M.S. Ryzhova. Under the general editorship of Yu.V. Byaloy and M.R. Mamikonyan. Artistic design of the series - N.D. Sokolov.
