On July 30, 1942, the German submarine U-166, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Günter Küchelmann, was patrolling the Gulf of Mexico. When she surfaced again, the sea turned out to be clear - no destroyers, no wreckage of the ship. From that moment on, strange things began: days passed, and the radio broadcast was silent on all frequencies, any ships ceased to be seen on the sea, where previously the entire coast was glowing with a glow of lights, there was complete darkness. In a word, devilry. Two subsequent events will affect the fate of the submarine U-166 (and subsequently the course of all world history): first, sailor Bruno Lorenz will dive with scuba gear to inspect the propellers and the underwater part of the submarine’s hull; second, they will finally meet the ship, but... strange.
