Spring of 1945, only a few days remain until the end of the war. There is a funereal mood at Hitler's headquarters. Soviet troops are three hundred meters from the bunker. And the Fuhrer decides to flee to South America to found the Fourth Reich there. At the same time, the young translator Klim Danilovich Sudak arrives in the city of Rostock, which had just been taken by Soviet troops. And he is immediately sent to a joint operation with British allies to clear the strait of mines. The minesweeper goes out to sea. The task is simple, the matter is familiar to sailors, but this time everything went wrong... And as a result, Klim ends up on a German submarine as a prisoner of war. You can’t imagine a worse situation: to find yourself in the company of embittered enemies who have lost their homeland, on a submarine ship that is heading to the Atlantic, and it is not clear what is on the captain’s mind.
