Harmont Visiting Area. 2020s. The owner of the Monlabs corporation, Dumont, is overwhelmed by the idea of creating a new life that does not yet exist on Earth, and is confident that the Zone will help him turn into a demiurge. Dumont's tool becomes Launitz - an unsuccessful director, a patient in a psychiatric clinic and a bankrupt, whom the mafia puts on the "counter". Meanwhile, alien life begins to emerge from the Zone into the city, transforming what it can subjugate and destroying everything else. And only Launitz, a man who is a double mystery, is able to stop her.
