Karen Blixen (1885-1962) is a classic of literature of the 20th century, a famous Danish writer, a baroness, whose work is loved in the English-speaking world, where she is known under the pseudonym Isak Dinesen. Blixen is a winner of numerous literary awards, a member of the Danish Academy of Letters (1960), and an honorary member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters (1957). The book includes her most significant works - the autobiographical book "Out of Africa" (created in English, in the Danish version - "African Farm" (1937), a collection of short stories "Seven Gothic Stories" (1934-1935), "Winter's Tales" ( 1942) and `Fatal Anecdotes` (1958). The famous director Sydney Pollack made a full-length film `Out of Africa` about Baroness Blixen, which received seven `Oscars`.
