N.I. Kondratenko, a hereditary Kuban Cossack, was elected governor of the Krasnodar region in 1996, receiving 82% of the vote. Over the years of his activity in this post, Father Kondrat brought the Krasnodar region out of the devastation and poverty that came here during the years of “democratic reforms.” In his book, Nikolai Ignatovich talks about the problems of the Russian village and the Russian people as a whole. His conclusions are harsh and categorical: “Without Russian land there will be no Russia, there will be no Russians. Down with the speculators who are buying up our lands for next to nothing, down with the looters who are ruining our Motherland! The land goes to those who cultivate it.”
