In 1911-1917 Anna Andreevna Akhmatova spent the warm season on the Slepnevo estate in the Bezhetsk district of the Tver province, which belonged to the closest relatives of her husband, Nikolai Stepanovich Gumilyov. Here she wrote lyrical love poems, landscape poems, poems depicting everyday scenes, poems reflecting on the fate of the poet. They were included in the collection “Rosary Beads”, “White Flock”, “Plantain”, “Anno Domini MCMXXI”. Here, in Slepnevo, for the first time she came to a deep understanding of Russia, a sense of its vastness. An acrove of sonnets by Vyacheslav Vorobyov “Slepnevo” was published in Tver, St. Petersburg.
