Inflation affects the incomes of citizens with different levels of income in different ways. Calculations show the shortcomings of the existing practice of compensating for losses from inflation, including during indexation in 2018. The method of compensating for inflation based on uniform absolute values of compensation payments will reduce the gap in family consumption even with a decrease in budget revenues and the RF Pension Fund. And further income differentiation creates a potential threat to the political stability of the state.
