The British Empire used the First World War to eliminate and weaken its competitors, including the Russian Empire. Britain “launched” the United States into Europe, seeking to strengthen and expand its dominance in the Mediterranean, Black and Baltic Seas, and the Near and Middle East. For these purposes, the Baltic territories of the Russian state were successfully seized with the creation of anti-Russian states there with the economic and military support of Britain and the USA.
