As has long been noted, revolution is conceived by dreamers, carried out by businessmen, and its fruits are enjoyed by scoundrels. Unfortunately, this rule knows no exceptions. Nevertheless, in societies where poverty, lawlessness and hypocrisy reign, people are born again and again who strive to realize the communist ideal. The most prominent figure of the world communist movement of the mid-20th century can undoubtedly be recognized as Ernesto Che Guevara (1928-1967), who lived a short but bright life. His political activity lasts less than 14 years, but it is extremely intense: 1954 - participation in the resistance to the intervention in Guatemala, 1956-1959 - Cuban guerrilla, from the Granma landing to the victorious entry into Havana, 1959-1965 - work in government and diplomatic missions of Cuba; 1966 - participation in the guerrilla struggle in the Congo, 1967 - armed struggle and death in Bolivia. During his life, Che accomplished more than many of those who were given longer sentences. Some see him as a fanatic, driven by despair, rushing forward in search of death. For others, he is the embodiment of the ideal of a romantic revolutionary.
