Andrei Nikolaevich KOCHERGIN began to engage in martial arts in 1976: first - judo, and since 1978 - “Soviet sports karate”. While living in Germany, I became interested in Wing Chun and Muay Thai. Upon returning to his homeland, he actively worked in the St. Petersburg Daido Juku Federation. Over the past ten years, he has headed the International Combat Karate Union “Koi no Takinobori Ryu” (ILIKKK). Kochergin is a master of sports in officer all-around, master of sports in shooting, three-time champion of the Leningrad Military District and holder of the Armed Forces record for shooting with a Makarov pistol, holder of the eighth given in karate. Head of the Center for Applied Research at the International Institute for Advanced Training, working for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Andrei Kochergin completed an army sports company, served in the reconnaissance of the Western Group of Forces, participated in the Caucasus campaign, and repeatedly carried out special combat missions.
