This textbook examines the basics of management in tourism and the history of the development of tourism management. Methodologically, the basis is the materials of classical management. The textbook presents a systematic and structural description of the elements of tourism management. The functions, principles and methods of management, features of organizational structures of tourism management and the process of making management decisions are considered. Particular attention is paid to the social aspect of tourism management. The features of managing the quality of tourist services and the features of personnel management of a tourism organization have been identified. The issues of organizing the hotel industry, including in foreign countries, are considered separately.
