The volume includes letters written between 1905 and 1926. They reflected the mood of Pasternak’s youth - the time of his studies in Marburg, his first love, his trip to Vsevolod-Vilva, the revolution of 1917 and his formation as a poet. Of greatest interest are the letters to parents, O. E. Mandelstam, V. P. Polonsky, S. N. Durylin, M. I. Tsvetaeva and others, reflecting the difficult literary situation of the 20s of the last century.
