Ellery Queen was the pseudonym of two cousins: Frederick Denny (1905–1982) and Manfred Lee (1905–1971). They have written 25 detective stories, which are united by a common hero, detective and author of crime novels, Ellery Queen, whose fame matches that of Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot. The work of the co-author brothers generally falls into the mainstream of the classic detective story, where there are enough intricate logical moves, false leads, and ingenious traps. Ellery Queen is not only the pseudonym of the two writers, but also the protagonist of many of their works - a professional writer of detective stories and an amateur detective, coming to the aid of his father, police inspector Richard Queen, when another criminal nut turns out to be too much for him.

"Будинок Браса" - це справжнє свято для любителів детективного жанру. Елері Квін, як завжди, вражає своїм майстерним підходом до створення заплутаних сюжетів та інтригуючих персонажів. Книга наповнена логічними ходами, які тримають читача в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Якість написання та детальність описів дозволяють зануритися в атмосферу розслідування, а динаміка сюжету не дає відволіктися. Особливо сподобалася роль інспектора Річарда Квіна, який, з одного боку, є підтримкою для свого батька, а з іншого - самостійним і цікавим персонажем. Ця книга не лише розважає, але й змушує задуматися про людську природу та моральні дилеми. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує класичні детективи з непередбачуваними поворотами!
