The Norwegian philosophy of friluftsliv, following hygge, is becoming increasingly popular around the world. Especially against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic, because it promotes free outdoor living. Far from big cities. Alone with nature. Friluftsliv, like hygge, refers primarily to an inspiring atmosphere, but if hygge focuses more on comfort, coziness and human relationships, then friluftsliv talks about living with nature. The Norwegian concept of happiness states that harmony can be achieved in the simplest and most inexpensive way. You just need to accept the fact that the world is not limited to the office and the city. We need to get out of this routine and into our “natural” habitat as often as possible. Followers of this philosophy claim: nature is our home, which we have lost and to which we must return! But not as the rulers of the universe, but as its children. And strive for a natural way of life, based on ancient and almost lost instincts today.
