1929 Having barely recovered from the brutal Civil War, the Soviet state is doing its best to restore the destroyed economy. But the outskirts are still very restless. Alexander Bolokhov, a young security officer, was sent on a secret mission to Harbin, where a large number of Russian refugees and activists of the White movement were concentrated. Bolokhov is tasked with infiltrating the ranks of “anti-Soviet elements” in order to prevent their further unity and disrupt plans for cooperation with the Japanese and Chinese authorities who are preparing the occupation of Russian lands in the Far East.
