The story “Fast Money” tells about our not quite right time, when the passion for owning money overcomes the passion for owning a beauty queen. Everyone wants everything at once. So one of the heroes of the book got drunk and disappeared in time, and the other, having a lot of money, at the end of the story turned into a homeless person on the beaches of Israel. A love affair and easy money turn into a tragedy for both main characters: Nikolai Shmyrev and a modest bank employee Denis Tagentsev, who went to make a deal with his conscience, providing a large loan to entrepreneur and school friend Nikolai, nicknamed “Shmyr”. Money and available women are the dead end where a person loses his dignity and himself.
