Louisa May Alcott finished her famous saga about the life of the March family in 1886. It was then that the fourth and final part of her tetralogy, “Joe's Boys,” was first published. In it, the already famous American writer, with her characteristic subtle humor, talks about the further fate of Joe’s children, demonstrating her talent as an attentive observer and connoisseur of human souls. Her characters gradually grow up, fall in love, face a variety of everyday problems and successfully overcome them. The story of all the characters who first appear in the third book of the famous writer, Life in Plumfield with Joe's Boys, sometimes develops completely unpredictably. After the unconditional success of her semi-biographical novels, Louisa Alcott did not put down her pen until her death in 1888. In addition to the famous tetralogy, her literary heritage includes several short stories, as well as dozens of short stories, including stories for children.
