The book was written by American and domestic experts. Its first edition became the most popular guide to echocardiography in Russia. The current edition reflects the changes that have taken place in this field in recent years: all chapters have been significantly revised or rewritten. The total number of illustrations has increased two and a half times, interesting cases from practice and much more have been added. The book is intended for those cardiologists who are just beginning to master echocardiography, and for those who have been doing it for a long time. After studying this book, the reader will be able to perform echocardiographic studies at the latest level, as they do in the Echocardiography Laboratory at the University of California, San Francisco.
