This is the fifth collection of prose by Maxim Osipov. It includes new works of different genres: an essay, three short stories, a novella and a dramatic monologue - all of them were written in modern times (2014–2017), when politics began to actively interfere with everyday life. Whatever genre Osipov wrote in, and whatever space the events unfolded in (Europe, Russian capitals, provinces), the author is most interested in modern man with his expectations and fears. The main thing that unites Osipov’s characters is a state of loneliness, sometimes painful, but often productive. Maxim Osipov is the winner of several literary awards. His stories and novellas have been translated into twelve languages.
