The comedy “Reluctant Marriage” ridicules, on the one hand, the stupidity, indecisiveness and infantilism of the average person, and on the other hand, the pseudo-scholarship that tries to “help” him. The main character, Sganarelle, cannot decide whether he should marry a young girl, Dorimene, and consults with everyone. A stupid question is answered with equally ridiculous answers, which threatens to destroy a potential marriage completely.
